Physical Characteristics
The physical characteristics of individuals with Down’s syndrome include low muscle tone, flat facial features, upward slant to their eyes, small skins folds on the inner corner of the eyes, smaller eyes, single deep creases across the centre of the palm, hyper flexibility, large space between large and second toe and enlarged tongue. It is important to remember that the physical features will vary from individual to individual. Individuals will exhibit some characteristics at varying degrees.
